Hi, I’m Brooke.
My own wellness journey led me to getting my Master’s Degree in Health and Wellness Coaching from Creighton University – Go Blujays! I’m a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
I’m a foodie – I really do love food. I love to eat and create great food. And I’m passionate about helping others have a healthy relationship with food so they can feel the same way.
All of my training and focus is on creating a better world for my kids and your kids. I want to help create a world where my kids embrace whole person health and a healthy mindset with food and their bodies.

What is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive eating is about trusting your inner body wisdom to make choices around food that feel good in your body, without judgment and without influence from diet culture. We are all born with the skill to eat, to stop when we are full, to eat when we are hungry and to eat satisfying foods.
As we grow up that can change for a variety of reasons. Many of us lose that freedom and intuitive eating is learning to reclaim it. When we filter out the noise and influence that diet culture presents to us as false truths, we can then truly listen to what our body wants and needs from food.
“I help my clients to love what they see in the mirror so they can stop hiding and start showing up in their lives.
I want women to find the freedom to live without constantly thinking about how they look..”

Talking to Your Kids About Food
When I became a mom, I fully planned on raising incredibly healthy eaters. I would make sure that they ate their vegetables and learned how to try foods. They would be adventurous. They wouldn't want to eat all of the processed foods that I demonized on the regular....
Why Am I So Tired?
This past weekend I’ve been fighting something… probably got it from my hubbie. Oh well! It’s not coronavirus, just some sinus congestion. But let me tell you… a few years ago I was WORN out! It was a really busy time… I was trying to put together a camp for 200+...
Diet Recovery and the LONG Game
When I first decided that I was done dieting, it was like being on a roller coaster. A bad day, specifically a bad body image day, could trip me up. I'd start googling diets or eating plans...searching for the solution to my "problem." But the solution was always -...
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS WHOLE PERSON HEALTH?
The focus of my coaching centers around the idea that we are made up of a lot of pieces that create our whole selves. We are not just our nutrition or our physical exercise. All of these pieces (stress, sleep, emotions, etc) play an integral part in our overall health and wellness. You cannot address one area and neglect the others and expect that you’ll be healthy.
You must address all areas, bit by bit, to see improvements in your health. In my coaching we’ll first address where you are at in each of these areas, and then work through each of them with practical tips to see small incremental progress.
WHAT IS INTUITIVE EATING?
Intuitive eating is an approach that was created by two registered dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, in 1995. Intuitive eating is a non-diet approach to health and wellness that helps you tune into your body signals, break the cycle of chronic dieting and heal your relationship with food.
As a certified Intuitive Eating counselor I follow this approach as we talk about nutrition and trusting our bodies. While letting go of the idea of weight loss is hard for many clients, I do ask that you put weight loss on the back burner as we work through the issues that dieting have created in your life.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M READY FOR THIS WORK?
I get this question a lot and it’s a good one. Really being ready to let go of dieting and weight loss mentality can be challenging. Diet culture teaches us to embrace getting smaller and smaller.
You’ll know you’re ready to free up space in your day and brain for things other than thinking about food and your weight?
Are you ready to just be done with it?
Then book your Body Trust Breakthrough Call with me. That is the best way you can determine if you are ready for this important work.
I look forward to chatting with you and helping you take the next step!
WHAT IS COACHING?
Author John Whitmore defines coaching as, “unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.”
As a health and wellness coach focusing on body trust and intuition, I help clients recognize the knowledge and body wisdom that they possess, but have pushed down or ignored most of their life. I’m all about helping clients set goals that make sense and helping you shift your mindset to embracing who you know you can be. More than anything, I’m a guide on your journey towards the next best version of yourself.
WHAT IS DIET CULTURE?
Christy Harrison of the Podcast Food Psych defines diet culture as:
A system of beliefs that:
- Worships thinness and equates it to health and moral virtue, which means you can spend your whole life thinking you’re irreparably broken just because you don’t look like the impossibly thin “ideal.”
- Promotes weight loss as a means of attaining higher status, which means you feel compelled to spend a massive amount of time, energy, and money trying to shrink your body, even though the research is very clear that almost no one can sustain intentional weight loss for more than a few years.
- Demonizes certain ways of eating while elevating others, which means you’re forced to be hyper-vigilant about your eating, ashamed of making certain food choices, and distracted from your pleasure, your purpose, and your power.
- Oppresses people who don’t match up with its supposed picture of “health,” which disproportionately harms women and people in larger bodies, damaging both their mental and physical health.
