As a coach, I frequently hear the fears of women around me.
“I can’t let myself eat food! I’ll never stop eating!”
While this thought is based in fear, it also based in the misconception that Intuitive Eating is some kind of methodology that says “Eat everything you want, all the time!”
While making peace with food and allowing yourself permission to eat ALL foods is KEY to becoming an Intuitive Eater, the last principle of Intuitive Eating is all about honoring your health with gentle nutrition. This is where Intuitive Eating and Nutrition meet.
The reality is that certain foods will feel good in our bodies when we eat them. Some foods will fuel us with energy, some foods will make us feel sick. Some foods will leave us looking for more food because it didn’t satisfy your hunger or “taste” hunger.
Gentle Nutrition is ” Make food choices that honor your health and taste buds while making you feel good.” It’s that simple.
There’s no meal plan to follow or app to help you track your calories or macros.
Watch the video for more information and tips on this last and GREAT principle of Intuitive Eating!
