When I was deep in the world of counting macros, I convinced myself that the fake, lower calorie ice cream was really tasty. In reality, it was just tasty enough that I could kind of feel like I had a treat. But I often found myself looking around the pantry for something more, something else… even though I was really hungry.
But, I was “taste” hungry. This is the term for when you are hungry for a particular taste and you keep feeling like you’re not done eating until you satisfy that desire.
In reality, when you just allow yourself to eat something that is actually satisfying, you’ll be strengthening your ability to honor your body’s cues
